Laughter Is The Best Medicine. Really?
I came across this is my email. today:
A Russian woman married an English
gentleman and they lived happily ever
after in Newcastle .
The poor lady was not very proficient in English,
but did manage to communicate with
her husband.
The real problem arose whenever she
had to shop for groceries.
One day, she went to the butcher
and wanted to buy chicken legs. She
didn't know how to put forward her
request, and in desperation, clucked
like a chicken and lifted up her skirt
to show her thighs.
Her butcher got the message, and
gave her the chicken legs.
Next day she needed to get chicken
breasts, again she didn't know how
to say it, and so she clucked like a
chicken and unbuttoned her blouse
to show the butcher her breasts.
The butcher understood again, and
gave her some chicken breasts.
On the 3rd day, the poor lady needed
to buy sausages.
Unable to find a way to communicate this,
she brought her husband to the store...

Twenty one + one
So I am a year older. The older you are, the wiser you get? That should explain the white hairs on my head. This year, I had a nice dinner at a small little restaurant called Tophat. With the other half of course. Not alone! This was what we had:
Curry laksa. Supposedly its chef's recommendation. For me its just an overpriced hawker dish!
Rm30 for a bowl. You tell me. It is nice though.
This was mine! Stew oxtail soup, served with garlic bread. Yummy. It has a very rich texture.
This is chicken pie I think. The mashed potatoes were good. Pastry was crispy and freshly baked out of the oven! (Okay, I'm making myself hungry right now)
Our 'pie tee'. Comes with the curry laksa set. At this stage, I was pretty much bloated already.
But of course, dinner wouldn't be complete without dessert!
The restaurant's award winning cake-Tiramisu.
I would prefer if it had a little more taste of coffee liquer.
Their menu. Very humble looking. Not too extensive but quality food is served.
The service there was pretty good as well. Friendly waiters, nice ambience. I just wished it was a little darker. In fact, I said it aloud to my other half, and the lights dimmed in 5 seconds! That just goes to show how attentive they are! Or eavesdropping on our conversation perhaps?
So maybe the waiters do not have very good photography skills.
Will definitely go back there to try out more desserts!
But no more late nights for me.Camping in the library officially starts tomorrow. =(
I'll sneak out here to update soon though!

Monash Ball 2009
Yinn-Yinn and me
This is such a cutie pic of Vann and Evon!
And that's the four of us!
The wonderful people on my table.
Our very own talented photographer, Garry! And of course all these photos were taken by him! Except when he is in the photo as well.
All of us again.
Lucky Brandon!
The bride of the night. Hehe.
They say the best times are when you are still studying. I couldn't agree more. Though real life will hit me very soon, I am so glad to have met all these people in my life. Because of them, they have made my life special. And fun of course! Truly I am blessed with great friends! Will always cherish the memories we had and will have.

Goodbye Bangkok!
Okay. I'm going to end my Bangkok post once and for all. I've received too many complaints already.
"Why so long havent update?"
"Why still on Bangkok post?"
"Why update halfway?"
Dinner in chinatown
Some pub. They sing too many Thai songs.
Victory Monument. Similar to our very own 'Tugu Negara'?
